Lace Box
Lace Box |
Its the little things in our craftroom that warms our hearts! Like this sweet lace storage box that holds some of my more luxurious laces. I made this from Kaisercraft's Miss Betty paper collection. The base box and cards are from Gina's Designs I added the pearl trim around the top and used Orleans Glass Knobs by Prima as feet for the box. I loved how sweet it turned out! Antiqued Letter Frame
Today I'm sharing a frame embellished with an S for my last name "Scharff." I used Prima Heaven Scent flowers and rhinestones and this beautiful 14x11 ornate frame. I used my favorite color paint, Robins Egg Blue by Prima and after brushing it on, I gently wiped off the excess to expose the ornate relief. I simply hot glued the flowers around the "S" and added bumper flowers and rhinestones for added sparkle.

Parisian Shabby Chic Canvas
Today I'm sharing a Parisian canvas made with
Beauty Board from Renea Bouquet's (Eiffel Tower, Victorian Woman and
Cherry Blossom Bits and Pieces).
I used a double stacked canvas to
create some depth and interest and outlined the bottom canvas with lace
then topped it off with a generous flower cluster.
The top canvas was
painted with crackle paste and pink acrylic paint. Added some harlequin
diamonds, and Mod Podged with iridescent glitter so it sparkles. That's it for me today. If you enjoyed this post, please "follow and "Share" this post on your social media. Thanks for dropping by, until next time! Hugs ~ Dawna
Steampunk Hot Air Balloon Tutorial
Today I'm sharing a Steampunk Hot Air
Balloon that I created using a huge Edison Bulb, paper mache box, wooden
BBQ skewers, chain, wooden cogs and wheels, fabric and ornate feet.
This project really gave me a run for my money! I loved the idea of
using the Edison bulb for the balloon and I wanted it to have an old
world feel so I painted it in vintage red oxide, turquoise and gold. I
variegated the red and gold and carried the green from top to bottom.
Painted the basket (box) and used a stencil to add a touch of gold.
Before I put the box together I placed wooden skewers in each corner and
glued them in place so the bulb would rest evenly on the tips of the
skewers. I used chain to drape around the bulb and attached wooden fans,
gears, cogs (all covered with antique brass wax). Extra chain drapes
below the balloon.
I added coordinating fabric as flags on each corner. I
put an eyelet in the flag tip and draped a charm chain in each corner. I
haven't found the perfect charm to hang yet as most have been too big,
but I'll keep looking to complete that finishing touch.

Happy Memories Layout
Today I'm sharing a sweet and simple layout of Richard and I on vacation in Santa Barbara, CA. I love these beautiful papers from Blue Fern Studio called Garden Life. The papers were so pretty I didn't want to do too much to the layout or I would have covered them up. If you enjoyed this post, please "Follow" and "Share" to your social media.
