Today I'm bring you a little something 'funtastic!" That really should be a word! I started with Dusty Attic's new 8x8 chip board shadow box frame (available from Scraputante.com) and used Graphic 45's Nutcracker Sweet to embilish it. Love how fun it came out! Here are a few close up pictures of some of your favoriate Nutcracker charactures like The Sugar Plum Fairy, Claira and The Wooden Soldier. Hope you enjoy!

DeleteBeautiful, this piece is so magical. Not being an owner of anycut of "cutter", cricut, Tim Holtz, or otherwise, please tell me is this how you get such precision cuts?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Just used my stright cutter for the background work. A Martha Steward Art Deco punch was used to make the stage fans, then everything else is simply cut out by hand using precision fussy cutting scissors. Hope that helps!

ReplyDeleteI've already commented once on this lovely piece and just can't keep my eyes off of it. My sweet 4 year old granddaughter would love it. I am examining the details and wonder how you did the windows. I want to say I can do this, but I might be bitting off more than I can chew??
ReplyDeleteWho could resist the desires of their 4 years old granddaughter? I used a simple window die cut called Grand Madison Window. You can find the die here:http://www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/the-11579/Poppystamps-Dies,-Grand-Madison/Detail or you can purchse these window die cuts already cut for only a few dollars on ebay. Wishing you good luck with your creation, I'm sure your graddaughter will love it!

DeleteThis is just beautiful, did you use a punch for the yellow fence in front of the art deco fans, and if so which punch? This would make my granddaughter happy also as she is a dancer.
