Valentine's Candy Cone Tag

Hi Friends,  Today I'm sharing a sweet Valentine's Day Candy Cone Tag that I created for my sweet swap partner, Laura'sAttic.  Laura does such gorgeous work, I knew right off I'd have to come up with something creative for her.  I'd been hording this beautiful vintage cupid paper for years and this was the perfect project for it.   Lets have a look at a few more close-ups:

Holiday Dress Form

 

Hi Friends,  Today I'm sharing this beautiful Holiday Dress Form which was inspired by Robbie Herring of Prima.   I loved the Parisian Lace Doily that is used to create the foundation and bodice.  If your interested in creating one for yourself, here is a link to Robbie's tutorial: :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHER3NvWTGw.   The dress form is about 14" tall, its made from paper mache' and available at Michael's.     Here are a few close-ups:

Keep Your Face Towards the Sun

Hi Friends,  Happy New Year!  Today I'm sharing a mixed media canvas that I had so much fun making.  These Relics and Artifacts Helios take center stage on this canvas and the sentiment is so fitting.  "Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows."  

What a wonderful mantra for the New Year.  Thank you Helen Keller, you have inspired generation after generation with your wisdom!  I'm putting a sad year behind me and I look forward to being reminded to keep my face towards the sun.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugs ~ Dawna 

Happy Holidays

Hi Friends, Today I'm sharing the first in what I hope to be a series of new layouts to help me recreate my Family Heritage album.  Unfortunately, my original paternal album was lost during a freak tornado that brought our family homestead down.  This is the last family picture we took with my dad< Donnie Spencer (pictured above) before he passed away in March of 2014.   We love and miss you everyday dad!  ~ Dawna
