ATC Christmas Cards

Today I'm sharing a few ATC Christmas Cards using Prima's Sweet Peppermint Collection by Frank Garcia.  The images are so fun, perfectly retro, and just a sweet through back to Christmases' of yesteryear. Here's a few more that I hope you enjoy:

I believe in giving credit where credit is due so I want to thank Maremi's, at Small Art for inspiring me to do these quick and simple cards.  I was stuck and Maremi gave me just the nudge I needed to get my mojo moving again!  That's it for me today.  From our house to yours, may the spirit of Christmas be with you through out the New Year!  Big Hugs ~ Dawna

Lighted Fall Tag Tree

Hi Friends,  I love fall and have been busy decorating for the season.  I saw this table top lighted tree at one of the big box stores and thought that it would be a great addition to my seasonal decorations.  I make these very simple distressed and layered chippy tags to celebrate the season.  Here's a little better look at the tags:

Shabby Chic Tag of Aunt Nora

Hi Friends,  Today I'm sharing this oh so shabbylicious tag I made for my swap pal Randi in a swap earlier this year.  She loved shabby chic whites and pinks and loves family so I thought to make it special that I would use this amazing picture of my Aunt Nora Spencer taken in circa 1903 when she was in her early teens.  My camera lens is acting a bit goofy, but here's a few more close ups for you:

We also agreed to  gift wrap our tags and I chose a crisp linen napkin and made a rhinestone bow.

That's it for me today, enjoy a happy day!  Hugs ~ Dawna

Humber Park

Humber Park Idyllwild, CA
Hi Friends,   Okay, so I have a obsession confession!  One of my favorite things to create (next to handmade flowers of course) are these fun embossed leaves!  They are so easy-peasy to make, just pop a cut leaf into an embossing folder, run it through your machine and viola!  Not only do you have a gorgeous leaf, but tons of texture too!  Now, just highlight those raised areas with inks and there you have it.  They will make any layout special.  Here's a few more close ups:

Well that's all from me, thanks for stopping by and having a peek!   Hugs ~ Dawna

Coin Evenlope Mini Album

Make Time to Play Cover
Hi Friends, I'm sharing a playful mini coin envelope album that I created in a swap for my dear friend Lorna. I was really challenged with the construction of this little album as it has a four way function that requires some really unique cuts.  Each piece of cardstock is cut to make a pocket, a page with a flip up feature and a flip out feature.   Let's have a closer look:

1st Page Feature: Envelope and Tags
1st Page; 2nd Feature Horizontal Flap
1st Page, 3rd Feature Vertical Flip Up Pocket and Tag
1st Page; 4th Feature; Flip Out -f Backside of Flip Up
Wow, I hope you got all those amazing features!  There is ton's of room for photos, tags and journaling. Here's a few more close ups:
2nd Page 2nd Feature - Back Side of Coin Envelope Horizontal Flap

3nd Page 2nd Feature - Back Side of Coin Envelope Horizontal Flap
4th Page 2nd Feature - Back Side of Coin Envelope Horizontal Flap
5th Page 2nd Feature - Back Side of Coin Envelope Horizontal Flap

Lisa Black designed this ingenious interactive album and she has a tutorial on how to create this on her YouTube channel.  If you enjoyed this post, please "Follow" and "Share" with your friends.  Thanks for having a peek.  Unity next time, make it a happy day!  Hugs ~ Dawna .

Find Your Song, ... Nature Tag

Hi Friends,  Today I'm sharing a nature inspired tag I created for my friend Martica's birthday.  I don't make tags very often, but Martica loves them so I decided to give it a go.  The papers are from my stash of K and Company's classic Nature collection.

I fussy cut the bird and nest, then popped them up for a little dimension. I used matting gel to add some Tim Holtz musical note tissue paper to the base of the tag.  Then I added a little random sewing and punched the edges to frame the tag.  To embellish, I added a Prima pink vine spray, some Wild Orchard roses, a few butterflies, some bling and lace trim.  Vintage seam binding slips though the back to create a bow tied hanger for the tag.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you found a little inspiration here.  If you enjoyed this post, please "Follow" and "Share" my blog with your friends.  Until next time, make it a happy day!  Hugs ~ Dawna

Dove Sympathy Card

Hi Friends,  Today I'm sharing this beautiful sympathy card I made for my sweet friend Debbie.  A bit of tulle and Prima's filigree flower die make a delicate base for the gold tipped red roses.  I love this simple design and its heartfelt sentiment.  Here's a look at the inside:
